LESSONS FROM SURAH AL-KAHF:
“And your Lord is the Forgiving, full of mercy. If He were to impose blame upon them for what they earned, He would have hastened for them the punishment. Rather, for them is an appointment from which they will never find an escape.” [18:58]
Allah has given us all an appointed time. Our time of death is set. We never know it, but it is set. And within the moments while we are alive, Allah’s doors are open, to come home at anytime, to turn back at any time. Yet, many of us keep delaying, many of us make excuses, many of us think that we’re too far gone…but Allah doors are STILL open. Turn back home now, all it takes is “I’m sorry”. That’s all it takes.
Ya Allah, I’m sorry.

Trust in Allah doesn’t simply apply when an life changing hardship occurs, or when a tragic events happen. Trust is Allah is everyday, with every action. Being content with the Creator in good AND bad is trust, knowing that even the bad has wisdom behind it from the Creator. In every case, in every situation, Praises and thanks are to the Creator.

And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump (of flesh), and We made(from) the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation.
So blessed is Allah , the best of creators.”

If you wish for safety from Allaah’s punishment, then abstain from the worldly life, but death will be your break from such abstinence. - Saalim Bin Abdillaah (rahimahullah) [Seerah Umar Ibn Abdul-Azeez, pg. 16, Translated by Abu Mu-aawiyyah (Abdullaah Al-Gambi)] (via pearlsofislam)
